Frequent anger, defiance and hostile attitudes towards parents and others are common attributes of a growing child or an adolescent. They are rude, arrogant and disrespectful to their elders. However, if this behavior persists beyond a particular age and affects the social behavior of a child, then it becomes a disorder. A child with such oppositional defiance tends to be detached from his/her family, is not flexible listening to advices and has aggressive behavior.
The child goes through a series of psychological metamorphosis that causes major confusions and relation building problems.
The child goes through a series of psychological metamorphosis that causes major confusions and relation building problems. Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is one of those psychological complexities that alienate the child from his/her parents or care givers. Extensive scientific researches have made further revelation of this disorder that digs deep into the psychological structure of a child, who is worst struck by this disease.
There are 5 procedures for RAD treatment which are as follows:
RAD or Reactive attachment disorder has become a thoughtful issue for most parents, owing to its severity and its rising frequency among children below 5 years. A child, who is suffering from RAD, is most likely to be defiant, aggressive, shows little interests in social attachments and is full of negative approach towards others. Though there are a couple of genetic as well as environmental factors attached to it, yet mostly it happens because of negligence and lack of proper attention by parents. In fact, lack of interest in the emotional or security requirements of the child results in chronic Reactive attachment disorder. Other than RAD, Oppositional defiance disorder or ODD is another problem that a neglected child may face.
